It gives you visitor statistics, traffic sources and e-commerce reporting without cookies and without storing personal data. The plugin embeds and configures the tracking script. Reports and statistics are viewed in the Trackli dashboard. **A Trackli account is required.** The plugin alone does not collect or display any data. #### A privacy-first alternative to Google Analytics 4 If you are looking for a Google Analytics alternative for WordPress, Trackli covers the reporting most site owners actually use — pageviews, visitors, referrers, campaigns, landing pages and conversions — with a much simpler interface than GA4. Because no cookies are set and no personal data is stored, Trackli is typically classed as strictly necessary, so visitor statistics keep working even when people decline consent. Data is processed on servers in Germany under GDPR, and a data processing agreement is available. Cookieless tracking measures each visit without storing anything on the device, so your statistics reflect the whole audience rather than the share that clicked “accept”. #### WooCommerce analytics ``` view_item, `view_category`, `search`, `view_cart`, `add_to_cart`, `remove_from_cart`, `initiate_checkout`, `add_payment_info`, `sign_up`, `purchase` and `refund`. ``` Both the classic shop templates and the Cart and Checkout blocks are supported. The plugin declares compatibility with High-Performance Order Storage. Product and order data such as name, SKU, price, order value and payment method are transmitted. Trackli is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Google LLC. Google Analytics is a trademark of Google LLC and is referred to here only for comparison. ### External services This plugin connects to **Trackli**, an analytics service operated by wp-hero GmbH. Without this connection the plugin has no function. **When data is transmitted and what is sent:** 1. **When visitors browse your website.** The embedded tracking script sends the following to `api.trackli.de`: requested address, referring page, page title, UTM parameters and advertising click IDs from the address, screen size, language setting, time on page and scroll depth. The server additionally derives browser, operating system and device type from the browser identification. The IP address is truncated immediately and is not stored. No cookies are set or read. 2. **When WooCommerce events are enabled.** Additionally: product name, SKU, price, quantity, category name, search term and result count, cart value and item count, selected payment method, and for a completed order the order number, order value, shipping cost, currency, payment method, shipping method and applied coupon codes. For a registration the assigned user role. No names, addresses or contact details. 3. **When a refund is issued, or when a completed order was not tracked in the browser.** Sent from your server, not from a visitor’s browser: order number, amount, currency and, for refunds, the reason you entered. The purchase fallback runs 30 minutes after checkout and only if the browser event never arrived, for example because the customer closed the window after payment. 4. **For custom events.** The attributes you provide. Attribute names such as `email`,` name` or `phone`, and values that look like an email address, are discarded on the server. 5. **When using the integration check** in the admin area. The script address is requested from your server to verify it is reachable. No visitor data is involved. Upload and activate the plugin under “Plugins > Add New”. 2. Open the “Trackli” menu and enter the tracking ID from your Trackli dashboard. 3. Save and use “Check integration” to verify the setup. Incoming data is shown in the Trackli dashboard. ## FAQ ### Do I need a Trackli account? Yes. The plugin handles the integration, while reports are viewed in the Trackli dashboard. You can create an account at trackli.de. ### Can I use this instead of Google Analytics? Yes, that is what most people use it for. Trackli reports pageviews, visitors, referrers, campaigns, landing pages and e-commerce revenue without cookies and with a far simpler interface than GA4. It does not try to replicate everything GA4 does: there are no advertising audiences, no cross-site user profiles and no Google Ads integration. You can also run both in parallel for a while to compare the numbers before switching. ### Do I still need a cookie banner? Trackli does not set cookies and does not store personal data. Whether your site as a whole requires consent depends on every service you use and is not a question this plugin can answer. If in doubt, consult your data protection officer. ### Where is the data stored? On servers in Germany, operated by wp-hero GmbH. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is available. ### Why is no data arriving even though everything is configured? The most common cause is a consent plugin blocking third-party scripts, including cookieless ones. If one is active, the plugin shows a notice with the specific steps for the detected provider. For Cookiebot and Complianz the option “Mark as strictly necessary” is often sufficient. Also check whether your own user role is listed under excluded roles, and test in a private window. ### Is customer data sent from WooCommerce? No. Product and order data such as item name, order value and payment method are transmitted. No names, addresses or contact details. ### Can I disable tracking temporarily? Yes, using the “Tracking active” switch. All settings are preserved. ### Does it work with caching plugins? Yes. The script is enqueued through the standard WordPress API and is compatible with common caching plugins. ### Does it work with page builders and block themes? Yes.
