Meow Lightbox

Description

Responsive Lightbox designed for photography which can also displays EXIF data. This lightbox is highly optimized and designed to be very fast and elegant. You will love it! Here are the main features:

  • Responsive Layout. Looks great on mobile, tablets and bigger screens.
  • Responsive Images. Image resolution itself will adapt to the screen and device.
  • Display Image / EXIF information. Shutter speed, aperture, camera, lens.

What about checking a few examples? Have a look at those:
– With a Gallery: Nara Dreamland
– Single Photos: Best Abandoned Places in Japan

By default, the selector is set for the classes ‘.entry-content, .gallery, .mgl-gallery’. If you need the Lightbox to be active for more selectors, you will need to update the settings. The plugin will apply the lightbox for images contained by the selector.

We believe that choice of the gallery system depends on you. We however recommend you to use the Meow Gallery.

For more information, please check the official page.

I’ve toyed with many galleries and lightbox plugins, but all left something to be desired. Some are clunky for the end user, don’t degrade well on different devices, and are just too hard to use for bloggers. I was looking for something easy, beautiful, and fully FSE-compatible. This is the one!

Trying to find a lightbox that uses the full image rather than the cropped one has been so difficult and I’m so glad I clicked on this one. Really easy to work with and deactivate for when I don’t need it!

I’ve tried a few galleries and lightboxes, most try to do things in their own way. Meow plugins ‘fit’ much better with wordpress, look great and the developers are very responsive for issues. I’ve been using it for years and will happily keep doing so.

I tried several other plugins before I found Meow Lightbox. This one was by far the best one for my needs. The masonry view was superior to every other plugin I tried!
