MapCraft (Alpha) – Google Maps Plugin

Description

** Alpha version. Under active development **

MapCraft is our take on what a Google Maps plugin would look like if it was built in 2019 with cutting edge web technologies, such as Vue.js. Currently the plugin has only the most basic functionality and we don’t recommend using it in production. However, please feel free to download it and have a look at what we’re building.

We are in the process of setting everything up for a smooth development process (website, blog, dev environment, unit tests, documentation, servers, etc, etc) and as we move closer to version 1.0 we will drop the Alpha tag and mark the plugin as production-ready.

FAQ

Where is all the functionality?

This plugin is under active development and we are currently setting everything up for the future, and publishing version 0.1.0 on the official WP repository is one of the first steps. Once all infrastructure is in place, we will be adding new features on a regular basis.

Can I use this plugin in production?

You can, but you shouldn’t. Version 0.1.0 provides only bare bones functionality and if you need something to use right now, you should look for another plugin. However it will be awesome if you have a look at how we are approaching the Editor and give us some feedback!

What features do you have planned?

Soon we will publish a detailed Roadmap on https://mapcraftpro.com, so stay tuned!

Is this going to be a free plugin?

Eventually we will add a Pro version. The free version will have some limitations, but we will make sure the pro vs. free feature set and the pricing model is as fair as possible.
