Full responsive layouts, user can use ticket system from his laptop, tablet or smart phone. Layouts auto adjust according to devices.

User Fields

Custom fields are required in scenarios, wherein additional information from clients is required. For example, if a client registers his account, additional information like company name, company profile etc. would be required, OR while submitting tickets related to technical issues, server access is required in tracing technical issues. This can be gathered by using Custom Fields.
You can create different types of custom fields i.e text field, drop down, check box, date, text area.

Unlimited Departments

Create departments that relates to the various business units in your organization. It will be sale, support, billing, you can create any department in admin panel. User will select department when he create the ticket.

Email Templates

Customize the predefined email templates that can be sent to users when alerts are set. Avoid the time spent to create the alert message every time you need to set one.

Installation

Automatic installation

Automatic installation is the easiest option as WordPress handles the file transfers itself and you don not need to leave your web browser. To do an automatic install of JS Help Desk, log in to your WordPress dashboard, navigate to the Plugins menu and click Add New.
In the search field type JS Help Desk and click Search Plugins. Once you have found our help desk plugin you can view details about it such as the the point release, rating and description. Most importantly of course, you can install it by simply clicking Install Now.

Manual installation

The manual installation method involves downloading our help desk plugin and uploading it to your webserver via your favourite FTP application. The WordPress codex contains instructions on how to do this here.

Updating

Automatic updates should work like a charm; as always though, ensure you backup your site just in case.

I have been using and testing this plugin on 3 sites and It's been a good experience. They are quick to respond to questions and have answered all of my requests. There is a a time zone difference so my request have all been answered overnight here. Pros: Easy to use Lots of functions Lots of configuration options Looks nice for end users and staff interfaces Control over user/staff/admin Shortcodes Ticket via email Courtious Support Cons: Very little to complain about considering the capabilities and support for the price. Some typos in the email templates. But easily resolved.

Concept is great but the execution leaves a lot to be desired. Had to eventually remove it as we could not get it to work due to: 1. Short Codes in the pages created were wrong and we had to manually change them using their manual, however, the shortcode for "Login" is not even in the instructions. 2. Cannot cope with .html extensions. WordPress site uses .html page extensions but login page was created using .html/login. After changing the URL it worked but the shortcode was not in the manual so the page would not operate 3. A few basic spelling mistakes in email templates, but nothing major although annoying. 4. Writers support site requires login (so does forum), so no way of reporting the issues other than leave a request here and hope for the best. 5. Plugin writer's website is is in Joomla which is rather concerning when the plugin is written for WordPress! (perception is reality). Makes us wonder how familiar they are with WordPress. Great shame as the product looked pretty good and well designed but lack attention to detail has let it down.
