Zynli — AI Customer Support for WordPress

Description

Zynli adds AI-powered customer support to any WordPress site in one click — no API keys, no manual embed code.

Unlike helpdesks that only show WooCommerce orders (read-only sidebars), Zynli can safely cancel, refund, create returns, update addresses, and more — under merchant-configurable policy and human approval for financial actions.

After you install the plugin and click Enable Zynli, you sign in to Zynli, authorize your site, and the plugin:

  • Loads the Zynli chat widget on your site (with display rules)
  • Identifies logged-in WordPress users for personalized support
  • Exposes a secure REST proxy so Zynli workflows can read site pages and posts
  • Adds WooCommerce order, cart, product, and return actions when WooCommerce is active

Zynli account required. You can create an account during the connect flow.

Why stores choose Zynli over typical chat plugins

  • Governed automation — refunds, coupons, and replacements default to human approval
  • Guest OTP verification — order lookup without logging into WordPress
  • Live cart context — AI and agents see cart contents for recovery and checkout help
  • Returns + subscriptions — first-class Woo actions, not just “order status”
  • HPOS + WooCommerce Blocks compatible

Corporate WordPress sites

On a standard WordPress site (no WooCommerce), Zynli supports:

  • Embeddable AI support widget
  • Knowledge base crawling from your site content
  • Support workflows and API actions via Zynli Actions & Flows
  • Conversational forms in the chat widget
  • Human agent handoff and ticketing from the Zynli dashboard

WooCommerce stores

When WooCommerce is installed and active, the same plugin also:

  • Identifies logged-in WooCommerce customers with order traits
  • Shares the shopper’s current cart with the chat, read in the browser so page caches never mix carts
  • Answers stock questions by product name, color and size, and lists category products with stock filters
  • Exposes signed commerce actions (orders, products, cart, returns, refunds, coupons, replacements, subscriptions)
  • Sends async store webhooks (orders, inventory, cart abandonment signals)
  • Ships an AI Storefront block/shortcode for live catalog search + chat handoff
  • Installs starter order/shipping/returns/cart-recovery workflows on Zynli Pro+

How it works

  1. Install and activate Zynli on your WordPress site.
  2. In WordPress admin, open Zynli and click Enable Zynli.
  3. Sign in to Zynli (or create an account) and authorize your site.
  4. The chat widget appears on your site. Configure KB sources, workflows, and forms in the Zynli dashboard.
  5. For WooCommerce: set commerce policies, widget display rules, and open the starter pack from Integrations.

External services

This plugin connects to Zynli, a hosted customer-support platform operated by Zynli.

When the service is used

  • When a site admin clicks Enable Zynli, Disconnect, Test connection, or when the plugin syncs the connection token.
  • When the Zynli chat widget loads on the site (connected sites only).
  • When Zynli workflows request site content or WooCommerce data from the plugin’s REST proxy (connected sites only).

What data is sent

  • Connect / exchange: site URL (home_url), WordPress version, WooCommerce version (if active), plugin version, and a one-time authorization code.
  • Sync / disconnect: site URL and connection token.
  • Widget: tenant reference, app URL, the current page URL, and (for logged-in users) a signed identity payload (user ID, email, display name; on WooCommerce sites also order count, total spent, latest order number and billing country).
  • Cart context (WooCommerce): a small script reads the shopper’s cart from your site’s own WooCommerce cart API (/wp-json/wc/store/v1/cart) and passes the item count, total, currency, product IDs, quantities and whether the shopper is on checkout to the widget, which shares them with Zynli for cart questions.
  • REST proxy (inbound to your site): Zynli sends authenticated requests to /wp-json/zynli/v1/* on your site. Responses include site info, pages, posts, and — when WooCommerce is active — order, product, cart, inventory, return, and related commerce action data under merchant policy.
  • Webhooks (outbound, WooCommerce): When enabled, the plugin asynchronously notifies Zynli of order/product/inventory/cart changes. Checkout never waits on Zynli availability.

Service provider

No data is sent to Zynli until a site administrator completes the connect flow.

FAQ

Do I need WooCommerce?

No. Zynli works on any WordPress site. WooCommerce is optional and unlocks order/product/cart automation when active.

Do I need a Zynli account?

Yes. The plugin uses a one-click OAuth-style connect flow. You can sign up at zynli.ai during authorization.

Is Zynli free?

The plugin is free. Zynli offers paid plans for AI usage, team features, knowledge base, workflows, and WooCommerce store automation. See zynli.ai/pricing.

Does this replace my help desk?

Zynli adds AI chat, knowledge base answers, workflow automation, and forms. Human agents can take over conversations from the Zynli dashboard. Financial Woo actions stay on human approval until you change policy.

What data does the plugin send to Zynli?

During connect, your site URL, WordPress version, WooCommerce version (if active), and plugin version are sent to Zynli. After connect, Zynli may call your site’s REST proxy (pages, posts, and WooCommerce data when available) using a connection token issued during authorization. Logged-in user identity (user ID, email, name, and on WooCommerce sites order count, total spent, latest order number and billing country) is signed locally and passed to the widget. On WooCommerce sites the widget also receives the shopper’s cart summary (item count, total, currency, product IDs and quantities), read in the browser from WooCommerce’s own cart API. See External services below and Zynli’s Privacy Policy.

Can I disconnect?

Yes. In Zynli admin, click Disconnect. The plugin removes local connection data and notifies Zynli. Uninstalling also purges policies, audit logs, and return requests.

Changelog

0.3.5

  • Fix guest order lookup (order number / search / meta — no longer limited to the latest order).
  • Policy admin: address-change statuses, final-sale categories, excluded products, product-write modes, review orders.
  • Real connection test (Zynli sync + WooCommerce site.ping).
  • Uninstall purges policies, audit/return CPT posts, display rules, and transients.
  • Live cart action (woocommerce.cart.get), shopper cart context, cart/checkout webhooks + abandonment signal.
  • Widget display rules (page types, logged-in only, URL contains, checkout launcher).
  • Working AI Storefront block/shortcode with live catalog search + chat handoff.
  • Returns list in admin; shipment tracking timeline events; starter-pack status panel; HPOS/Blocks compatibility badges.
  • Stock lookup by product name, color and size, with a clarifying choice (paged) when several products match.
  • Category products by name or ID with in-stock / backorder filters and pagination; empty search browses the public catalog.
  • Cart context is read in the shopper’s browser, so full-page caches can no longer show one shopper’s cart to another.
  • Product prices honor the verified customer’s account pricing; backorder stock is labeled “Available on backorder”.
  • Structured action inputs (order lines, addresses, storefront layout) accept JSON; free-text fields are left untouched.
